So yesterday I got an amazing perfume as a gift and I have to say it has me hooked. I find myself re-applying often just to get a fresh new whiff of it.
Nanadebary.
- cool name
- cool bottle
- cool logo
- cool selection (3)
- cool scent.
Having never really familiarized myself with the brand, aside from the distinguishable logo, I decided to investigate what this perfume was all about and why the heck it retails at $160 a pop.
So this is what I found:
1. Apparently the classic pink (the one I use) is Madonna's favorite perfume with a scent of bergamot and ginger.
2. The woman responsible for the perfume (Nana DeBary) first attempted to brand her perfume in Vienna until the fateful day on which she found herself on the beach in Thailand-2004...Oh yes, barely surviving the tsunami, after which she closed shop and turned to art until her perfume finally made a name for itself.
PINK
Delicate bergamot and ginger topnotes, with a heart of jasmine, iris, and sandalwood, over a base of vanilla and musk.
BRONZE
Radiant mandarine and ylang-ylang on top, jasmine and tuberose at the heart, with iris, cedar, and cinnamon as a base.
GREEN
Sparkling bergamot and citron topnotes, with basil and cardomom for a heart, over thyme, musk and vetiver.
